A SEASON ON THE DELAWARE by ANGLER119

Posted on February 01 2021

This winter, with Covid still raging and time on my hands, I decided to compile the year's blog pages into a book.  "A Season On The Delaware"  follows Angler119 as he fishes the Delaware through the progression of fly hatches from the first little stone flies of April to the last paraleps of November.  It provides enough information to enable readers to better enjoy and appreciate their time on the river while laughing at the  humorous situations that every angler invariably finds himself in.  It encourages readers, to take the time to smell, if not the roses, then at least the heifers at the pasture pool, to observe and enjoy the wildlife they interact with every day along the river and maybe, just maybe, helps them to, every once in a while, fool a big West Branch brown into eating a Hendrickson or experience the thrill of chasing a hot iso eating rainbow down through a riff on the big river.

Dave and Rick at the Troutfitter shops in Syracuse and Deposit are going "all out" in their effort to support the book by agreeing to carry it (on consignment) as long as the copies are signed.  I'll likely remain in Florida until sometime in April so signed copies will have to await my return.  If you just can't wait, the book can be purchased directly from Amazon in either the e-book or paperback version.

Sitting down on a cold winter's night with a copy of  A SEASON ON THE DELAWARE  is a great way  to relive memories of the 2020 season while counting down the days 'til you're on the river again.
