Carp Fishing the L.A. River

Who’s to say that the recent surge in the carp population of Los Angeles’ notoriously channelized river can’t provide an opportunity for anglers and a reason for attention by conservationists? “The narrows are the three-mile stretch of the river north of downtown Los Angeles in which the bottom was never paved because of a high water table. As a result, it kind of looks like a river.” Steve Hymon in the Los Angeles Times.
